Our works in each location varied, there were a mixture of two storey flats and houses in Maerdy and there were four blocks of two and three storey flats and a small number of houses in Aberdare. The works included External Wall Insulation to all properties, extraction of cavity wall insulation, installation of wall ties, re-roofing of some properties, windows and doors in some properties and upgrading in communal items on the flats. The challenge was to achieve the same quality standard between both sites.

We set up as two separate sites with separate site managers. Our mixed direct labour and subcontractor teams ensured that we achieved exceptional quality across both sites.

A total of 6000m2 of Weatherby EWI was installed, nearly 2000m2 of Redland roofing, 60 doors, 30 windows and all associated works. There has been a dramatic visual and the energy performance has dramatically improved.
