The contract started in October 2021 and will be completed in April 2024. The contract was for major works to 250 properties and re-decoration works to 270 properties. The major works consisted of asbestos removal, existing walls being demolished and removed, concrete repairs, re-roofed, new fascia soffit and rainwater goods, new blockwork walls and then a Wetherby external wall insulation with either a silicone topcoat, dash, or brick slip finish.

All the tenants would still be living in the property whilst the works were being carried out. This meant that lots of planning and communication was required with the tenants to ensure they were made aware of what works were going on and when to ensure tenant safety and prevent any distribution that could be caused by the works.

Joyner Group employed a full-time tenant liaison officer who was always based on site and was able to liaise between the site team and the tenants. This was extremely helpful as the tenants felt they had a point of call within Joyner Group whilst the works were being carried out if they had any queries about the works.

Work is going ahead of programme and the client is extremely happy with the quality of work that is being delivered by Joyner Group. Over 100 properties completed within 10 months.
